Se complica el desarrollo urbanístico en los terrenos de Repsol, en Málaga. Desde hace años, los vecinos vienen reclamando la creación de un gran parque en este gran solar de 177.000 metros cuadrados, ubicado en el distrito de Carretera de Cádiz. El Ayuntamiento, sin embargo, ha apostado por reducir la superficie verde levantando varias torres en una zona de la ciudad, ya de por sí, densamente poblada y carente de zonas verdes. Por ello, en 2016 se constituyó la plataforma Bosque Urbano de Málaga, integrada por vecinos y colectivos que iniciaron una campaña de crowdfunding para conseguir dinero suficiente para paralizar el proyecto que plantea el Consistorio. Ahora, esta plataforma ha conseguido frenar la venta de los terrenos en los juzgados y van a presentar su primera demanda contra el equipo de gobierno municipal por vender los terrenos por debajo del precio que lo compró, ya que el Consistorio pagó por ellos unos 70 millones de euros y ahora está pidiendo unos 50. Así lo aseguran desde esta plataforma vecinal que también asegura que los suelos están contaminados debido a los bidones de hidrocarburos que hubo en su momento.
