En nuestro país se producen más muertes que en ningún país de Europa relacionadas con el calor. Lo reflejan los colores más oscuros de este mapa. De media en la última década han fallecido en España 30 personas por cada millón de habitantes, unas 1400 al año, pero es que el verano extremo que acabamos que casi triplica ya esas cifras. Según el instituto Carlos III, han muerto 4.700. Sobre todo, en mayores, en esta residencia han tenido que adaptarse.
