🔴Noticia – Los mercados municipales de Málaga se vuelven más sostenibles

El Ayuntamiento de Málaga avanza en su objetivo de hacer de los mercados municipales de la ciudad espacios sostenibles e innovadores. El alcalde, Francisco de la Torre, junto a la delegada de Comercio, Elisa Pérez de Siles, y la de Servicios Operativos, Teresa Porras, ha dado a conocer las iniciativas que impulsa el Consistorio en este sentido. Para ello, el Consistorio ha invertido 178.073 euros en estas iniciativas financiadas casi en su totalidad por fondos europeos Next Generation. Para ello, según la ordenanza municipal que regula los mercados minoristas, se promueve la eliminación de bolsas de plástico de un solo uso en estos mercados. Para ello se han repartido 62.500 bolsas biodegradables y 2.500 bolsas de papel. A este reparto se suma el de 28.000 botellas de agua elaboradas con material reciclable y estampadas con mensajes de concienciación acerca de la importancia de reciclar. También se han ubicado en los mercados de Salamanca, Bailén, Huelin, El Carmen y El Palo prensas compactadoras de papel y cartón para reducir los volúmenes de residuos y facilitar su posterior traslado al centro de reciclaje y tratamiento. El Ayuntamiento también ha dotado a los mercados de máquinas fregadoras que consiguen una mejor higienización de las zonas comunes y reducen el consumo de agua.

The City Council has also provided the markets with scrubbing machines that achieve better sanitation in common areas and reduce water consumption.
