El obispo de Málaga, Jesús Catalá, ha oficiado este sábado una misa funeral por el papa emérito Benedicto XVI, fallecido el pasado 31 de diciembre a los 95 años. La misa, celebrada a las 12.30 de la mañana, ha servido de homenaje a la figura del sumo Pontífice que fue el líder de la Iglesia Católica entre 2005 y 2013. Jesús Catalá ha puesto en valor su trabajo por “el amor, la verdad y la esperanza” durante sus años de vida. De hecho, el obispo ha señalado que la vida y misión de Benedicto XVI “fue una continua búsqueda de la verdad”. Recordando las palabras de Benedicto, ha señalado que en su magisterio puso de relieve la centralidad del amor de Dios más allá de un sólo mandamiento.
