La Junta de Andalucía ha adjudicado las obras de ampliación del Hospital comarcal de la Axarquía, en Vélez-Málaga. Lo ha anunciado este miércoles la delegada del gobierno andaluz en Málaga, Patricia Navarro. El importe de adjudicación asciende a 3,1 millones de euros con un plazo de ejecución de 13 meses. El proyecto contempla la construcción de dos nuevos edificios: uno para el salón de actos y la capilla y otro para la zona de cafetería y visitantes. De este modo las instalaciones que queden libres con el traslado se dedicarán a ampliar y mejorar servicios asistenciales. También se reformará el acceso al hospital. Navarro también ha aprovechado la visita para recordar la mejora del área de pediatría de este centro hospitalario. Unas obras que han permitido duplicar el número de consultas externas, pasando de dos a cuatro, con una inversión superior a los 55.000 euros. La delegada ha subrayado el esfuerzo de la Junta para poner en marcha infraestructuras sanitarias en la comarca como los nuevos centros de salud de Cómpeta, Nerja y Rincón de la Victoria.

The Junta de Andalucía has awarded the contract to expand the Axarquía Regional Hospital, in Vélez-Málaga. It was announced this Wednesday by the delegate of the Andalusian government in Malaga, Patricia Navarro. The award amount amounts to 3.1 million euros with an execution period of 13 months. The project includes the construction of two new buildings: one for the assembly hall and the chapel and another for the cafeteria and visitor area. In this way, the facilities that remain free with the transfer will be dedicated to expanding and improving care services. Access to the hospital will also be reformed. Navarro also took advantage of the visit to remember the improvement in the pediatric area of this hospital. Some works uqe have allowed doubling the number of external consultations, from two to four, with an investment of more than 55,000 euros. The delegate has underlined the effort of the Board to launch health infrastructures in the region such as the new health centers in Cómpeta, Nerja and Rincón de la Victoria.
