El Jueves Santo de la Semana Santa de Málaga ha vuelto a vivir uno de sus momentos más señalados y emotivos como es el traslado del Cristo de la Buena Muerte, o también conocido como el Cristo de Mena. A las 10.30 de la mañana llegaba al Puerto de Málaga el buque ‘Contramaestre Casado’ de la Armada donde ha desembarcado la compañía de honores del Tercio ‘Duque de Alba’ II de la Legión. Allí han sido recibidos por las autoridades civiles y militares y por miles de malagueños y visitantes. Tras el saludo y revista, los militares han desfilado por el Palmeral de las Sorpresas, la Plaza de la Marina y la Alameda Principal para enfilar sus pasos hacia la plaza de Fray Alonso de Santo Tomás, donde se encuentra la Congregación del Santísimo Cristo de la Buena Muerte y Ánimas y Nuestra Señora de la Soledad. La compañía de legionarios ha participado en el traslado y entronización de la imagen del Cristo de Mena. Uno de los momentos más emotivos es cuando los legionarios alzan a pulso al crucificado mientras cantan ‘El Novio de la Muerte’. Entre las autoridades presentes este año estaban la ministra de Justicia, Pilar Llop, y la consejera de Economía de la Junta, Carolina España. También ha asistido, cómo no, el alcalde de Málaga, Francisco de la Torre.
