Faltan algunos días para que concluya la Semana Santa pero ya tenemos algunos datos sobre visitantes. Los ha dado a conocer el Ayuntamiento de Málaga y son datos referidos al número de turistas que se han acercado a las oficinas municipales de turismo de la capital malagueña. Concretamente, desde el pasado Viernes de Dolores y hasta el Martes Santo, 31.000 visitantes se han acercado a alguna de las oficinas de turismo de la plaza de la Marina, calle Alcazabilla, Alameda Principal y en plaza Hoyo Esparteros. Por procedencia, la mayoría eran españoles y el resto extranjeros. 17.347 era turismo nacional y 13.653, turismo internacional. Un 10% de todos esos visitantes eran de la provincia. Le siguen los procedentes de Madrid que representan un 9% y un 7% ha llegado de otros puntos de Andalucía. En cuanto al mercado internacional, de los extranjeros que se han acercado a estos puntos de información turística, los británicos han sido mayoría. Un 10%, seguidos por franceses y alemanes, un 9 y 4% respectivamente. A falta de cifras oficiales sobre ocupación, parece un indicativo del buen comportamiento que ha experimentado este año el turismo en la ciudad durante la Semana Santa.
