Primer diálogo entre EEUU y Cuba sobre fugitivos

Español: Representantes de Estados Unidos y Cuba han iniciado en Washington su primer diálogo formal sobre la aplicación de la ley, en la que el Gobierno estadounidense insistirá en su solicitud de extraditar a algunos fugitivos buscados por la Justicia de este país y que se encuentran supuestamente en la isla.
El presidente estadounidense, Barack Obama, retiró el pasado abril a Cuba de la lista de Estados patrocinadores del terrorismo que elabora anualmente el Departamento de Estado.
Cuba había permanecido en esa lista año tras año desde 1982 por su presunta acogida a miembros de ETA, de la guerrilla de las FARC y a algunos fugitivos de la Justicia estadounidense.
Al retirar a Cuba de la lista, Estados Unidos certificó que el Gobierno de la isla no había proporcionado apoyo al terrorismo internacional durante los últimos seis meses, pero no retiró su reclamo de extradición de esos fugitivos.

US President Barack Obama, retired last April to Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism drawn up annually by the State Department.
Cuba had been on the list every year since 1982 for their welcome members of ETA, the FARC and some fugitives from US justice alleged.
By removing Cuba from the list, the United States certified that the government of the island had not provided support for international terrorism during the last six months, but did not withdraw his claim for extradition of those fugitives.
