Montoro propone ahora prohibir por ley nuevas amnistías fiscales

El ministro de Hacienda y Función Pública, Cristóbal Montoro, ha anunciado en el Congreso que propondrá una modificación de la Ley General Tributaria para evitar que se produzcan nuevas regularizaciones fiscales, como la Declaración Tributaria Especial de 2012, conocida como la ‘amnistía fiscal’.

Así lo anunció durante su comparecencia ante la Comisión de Hacienda y Función Pública, a la que acudió precisamente para dar explicaciones por la anulación de su ‘amnistía’ por parte del Tribunal Constitucional, que la declara contraria a la Carta Magna.

Montoro ha dicho que estas regularizaciones «no gustan a nadie» y que, por ello, espera que con las medidas adoptadas en los últimos años permitan garantizar un consenso necesario para poder sacar adelante la modificación de la ley.

Todos los grupos, con la única excepción del PP, cargaron contra el ministro y la ‘amnistía’, con la reivindicación en muchos casos de publicar la lista de beneficiarios de la regularización de 2012.

Por parte de Unidos Podemos, Alberto Garzón aseguró que era «evidente» que el Gobierno conocía que iba a aprobar una norma inconstitucional, y le recordó que las previsiones de recaudación pasaban por obtener 2.500 millones de euros, y no los 1.200 millones finales.

Garzón criticó que se aceptara dinero que, más tarde, se ha demostrado que procedía de la corrupción, y por ello cree que «la amnistía fiscal ha desvelado la cultura de la impunidad en este país».

On behalf of Unidos Podemos, Alberto Garzón said that it was «evident» that the Government knew that it was going to approve an unconstitutional rule, and reminded that the collection forecasts went through to obtain 2,500 million euros, not the final 1,200 million.

Garzón criticized accepting money that has later been proven to stem from corruption, and therefore believes that «fiscal amnesty has unveiled the culture of impunity in this country.»
