Andalucía ha recibido cerca de unos 540 mil turistas extranjeros en el primer mes del año. Esto supone un aumento del 3,4% con respecto al mismo periodo del 2017. Con esta cifra, Andalucía se sitúa como tercera comunidad de destino principal por número de turistas, por detrás de Canarias y Cataluña. Reino Unido, el principal mercado emisor de turistas hacia Andalucía, con un 23,3% del total de turistas. El segundo, Alemania, con el 12,4%. A nivel nacional, España recibe en enero la visita de más de 4 millones de turistas internacionales, un 5,2 por ciento más que en el mismo mes de 2017. Reino Unido es el principal país de residencia, con casi 800 mil. Alemania y Francia son los siguientes países de residencia con más turistas que visitan España en enero.
