Noticia – May descarta la unión aduanera reclamada por Corbyn para salvar el Brexit

Theresa May ha respondido por carta a las demandas planteadas por el líder laborista, Jeremy Corbyn, y reitera su rechazo a una unión aduanera. En su opinión, eso perjudicaría la capacidad británica de negociar por su cuenta. Corbyn había interpuesto cinco demandas, entre ellas esa posible unión aduanera «permanente y completa» que daría a Londres potestad para pronunciarse sobre otros futuros acuerdos. El líder opositor también ha planteado una cercanía al mercado único, así como garantías en materia de derechos y protección de trabajadoras. La ‘premier’ británica espera poder reunirse «cuanto antes» con Corbyn para seguir acercando posturas, por ahora irrenconciliables. El tiempo corre en contra de Reino Unido, que salvo un aplazamiento ‘in extremis’ saldrá de la UE el 29 de marzo, con o sin acuerdo.
