Detienen a un veterinario por operar a animales para cobrar el seguroMálaga 24h

Agentes de la Policía Nacional han detenido a un hombre de 46 años que ejercía como veterinario en la localidad alicantina de Alcoy por presuntamente realizar operaciones quirúrgicas innecesarias a los animales para cobrar indemnizaciones a las aseguradoras. Se le imputan delitos de maltrato animal, estafa y usurpación de estado civil.

El sospechoso utilizaba los datos de identidad de sus clientes sin su conocimiento para dar de alta pólizas de seguros veterinarios a animales, en muchos casos inexistentes, para después inventarse siniestros y cobrar las ficticias intervenciones.

Algunas de las irregularidades que cometía el arrestado eran extracciones de sangre sin realizar las correspondientes analíticas, radiografías o endoscopias.

La investigación se inició en mayo del año pasado cuando los agentes recibieron una denuncia de la dueña de un perro, en la que acusaba a un veterinario de Alcoy de haberla estafado en la administración de vacunas a su mascota.

En otros casos, el facultativo intervino quirúrgicamente a animales advirtiendo a sus dueños de que sus mascotas habían ingerido de manera «ficticia» objetos peligrosos. Uno de los testigos llegó a manifestar a los agentes que esta persona había llegado incluso a sacrificar a su mascota de forma innecesaria, según las mismas fuentes.

Por todo ello, los agentes de la Brigada de Policía Judicial de Alcoy han detenido a este hombre, de nacionalidad española, por los presuntos delitos de maltrato animal, estafa y usurpación de estado civil.

English:Agents of the National Police have arrested a 46-year-old man who practiced as a veterinarian in the Alicante town of Alcoy for allegedly performing unnecessary surgical operations on animals to collect compensation from insurers. He is charged with crimes of animal abuse, scam and usurpation of civil status.

The suspect used the identity data of his clients without his knowledge to register veterinary insurance policies to animals, in many cases nonexistent, then to invent sinister and collect the fictitious interventions.

Some of the irregularities that the arrested person made were extractions of blood without realizing the corresponding analytics, radiographs or endoscopias.

The investigation began in May of last year when the agents received a complaint from the owner of a dog, in which she accused a veterinarian from Alcoy of having cheated her on administering vaccines to her pet.

In other cases, the practitioner surgically intervened with animals warning their owners that their pets had ingested «dummy» dangerous objects. One of the witnesses went so far as to tell the agents that this person had even sacrificed his pet unnecessarily, according to the same sources.

For all this, the agents of the Judicial Police Brigade of Alcoy have arrested this man, of Spanish nationality, for the alleged crimes of animal abuse, fraud and usurpation of civil status.
