La oficina del fiscal general de Nueva York ha remitido una orden a la Fundación Trump para que deje de pedir donaciones para la campaña presidencial de Donald Trump de forma inmediata porque el organismo no está incluido en el registro de asociaciones, algo necesario para poder hacerlo.

La investigación examina si la Fundación Trump cumple con las leyes estatales en aspectos clave tales como en qué gasta el dinero. Para ello, da a la fundación un plazo de 15 días para entregar varios documentos tales como auditorías financieras y cuentas anuales. De no entregar esta documentación, se considerará el caso como «fraude», según han explicado.
