Ciudadanos elimina la socialdemocracia de su ideario y abraza el liberalismo progresista-Málaga24h

Albert Rivera ha pedido este sábado, durante la IV Asamblea General de Ciudadanos, que se apueste por «una evolución» y se extirpe del ideario de la formación la referencia al socialismo democrático como una de sus fuentes ideológicas.

Después de que los compromisarios de la Asamblea del partido hayan aprobado con el 97% de los votos el informe de la gestión de su Ejecutiva entre 2012 y 2016, el presidente ha abogado porque la formación se defina por el «liberalismo progresista».

“Hay gente que quiere que seamos socialistas, que seamos como el PSOE, y yo creo que el centro político español no es socialista ni conservador», ha dicho Rivera en el Teatro municipal de Coslada, por lo que se ha mostrado partidario porque el partido se defina como progresista, para ganar a los conservadores, pero también que sean un partido menos intervencionista que el PSOE», ha explicado. «El partido tiene que seguir en el centro, no puede irse ni a la izquierda ni a la derecha».

Para Rivera, no se trata de una refundación, sino de una evolución para hacer más fuerte todavía el partido. «Mientras los demás partidos están rotos, divididos, enfrentados e incluso faltándose al respeto, y en otros no se permiten las primarias, aquí hay primarias, hay debate, hay calma y hay unión» , ha seguido en referencia al PSOE, Podemos y el PP.

Albert Rivera también ha querido destacar las saneadas cuentas de Ciudadanos, sin deudas y con superávit, el desarrollo de la estructura orgánica de la formación en los últimos cinco años y, sobre todo, el progresivo aumento de su respaldo en las urnas, afirmando que «a un partido se le mide por el apoyo que tiene en la sociedad».
