El Parlamento británico tendrá la última palabra sobre el ‘Brexit´ – Málaga 24h

Nuevo golpe a los planes de Londres: la Cámara de los Lores británica ha aprobado este martes una enmienda a la ley del ‘Brexit’ para que el Parlamento tenga que dar el visto bueno al acuerdo que negocien el Gobierno de Theresa May y las autoridades europeas.

La propuesta ha salido adelante con 366 votos a favor y 268 en contra y se suma a la enmienda que ya fue aprobada el 1 de marzo para intentar que el Ejecutivo garantizase los derechos de los ciudadanos de la UE residentes de Reino Unido.

En esta ocasión, los lores plantean que el Parlamento británico tenga que dar el visto bueno al acuerdo final antes de que sea sometido a votación en la Eurocámara. Asimismo, los legisladores serían quienes autorizarían o negarían una hipotética petición del Gobierno para romper el diálogo con Bruselas.

English:A new blow to London plans: the British House of Lords has approved an amendment to the Brexit law on Tuesday so that Parliament has to approve the agreement negotiated by the government of Theresa May and the European authorities .

The proposal has gone ahead with 366 votes in favor and 268 against and adds to the amendment that was already approved on 1 March to try to ensure that the Executive guaranteed the rights of EU citizens resident in the United Kingdom.

On this occasion, the Lords suggest that the British Parliament must give its approval to the final agreement before it is put to a vote in the European Parliament. Likewise, the legislators would be the ones who would authorize or deny a hypothetical request of the Government to break the dialogue with Brussels.
