Heredia (PSOE) pide al Gobierno medidas contra los efectos del Brexit al turismo

El secretario general del Grupo Parlamentario Socialista y del PSOE de Málaga Miguel Ángel Heredia ha registrado este miércoles en el Congreso de los Diputados una batería de iniciativas para pedir al Gobierno información sobre los efectos que la salida del Reino Unido de la Unión Europea va a tener sobre el sector turístico de la Costa del Sol y reclamarle que palíe esas consecuencias.

Heredia se ha hecho eco de la «filtración» a un medio de comunicación de un informe encargado por el Ejecutivo en el que se destacan los graves perjuicios que el Brexit va a causar en el sector turístico y ha expresado su «preocupación» por el desarrollo económico y el empleo de la provincia.

En ese sentido, ha recordado que el turismo británico es el primero en número de visitantes en la Costa del Sol, con más de dos millones de viajeros; mientras que al conjunto de Andalucía llegan más de seis millones de turistas británicos todos los años.

Asimismo, ha subrayado que es un mercado emisor que crece cada año y que la mitad de los extranjeros que visitan la Costa del Sol son británicos y representan el 30 por ciento del negocio hotelero.
