El Parlament ha aprobado este miércoles la financiación del referéndum en los Presupuestos 2017, ya sea un referéndum acordado con el Gobierno central o uno unilateral.

Se ha aprobado en un pleno envuelto por la polémica tras el reciente dictamen del Consell de Garantias Estatutarias, que recogió que la disposición adicional 31 de las cuentas sobre el referéndum es inconstitucional y vulnera el Estatut, aunque sí avaló la partida de las cuentas de 5,8 millones de euros para ‘procesos electorales’.

En la votación no han participado los diputados de PSC, Cs y PP — los dos últimos han levantado la mano en señal de protesta–, después de que los letrados de la cámara hayan advertido de que votar dicha disposición implicaría desobedecer al Tribunal Constitucional

The Parliament approved Wednesday the financing of the referendum in the Budgets 2017, be it a referendum agreed with the central government or a unilateral one.

It has been approved in a plenary session surrounded by controversy following the recent opinion of the Council of Statutory Guarantees, which found that additional provision 31 of the accounts on the referendum is unconstitutional and violates the Estatut, although it did support the departure of the accounts of 5 , 8 million euros for ‘electoral processes’.

The PSC, Cs and PP deputies have not participated in the vote – the last two have raised their hands in protest – after the lawyers in the chamber have warned that voting on this provision would involve disobeying the Constitutional Court
