El Gobierno anuncia que levantará un nuevo CATE
La subdelegada del Gobierno en Málaga, María Gámez, ha confirmado que el Gobierno de Pedro Sánchez levantará un nuevo centro de atención temporal de extranjeros, tal y como ya se hizo en Motril y San Roque. Aun así, Gámez no garantizó que las instalaciones se vayan a localizar en Málaga.

Esta medida serviría para atender a los migrantes que llegan a las costas andaluzas durante las primeras 72 horas posteriores a su rescate.
La subdelegada del Gobierno en Málaga, María Gámez, se pronunció sobre la problemática que plantea la construcción de este centro en el puerto de Málaga, concretamente, a la altura de la desembocadura del río Guadalmedina, que es donde se pretendía levantar ya que no es una zona fácil debido a que tiene mucho suelo adjudicado.
Desde el Gobierno se está contemplando opciones de otros espacios, como colegios en desuso.
