Málaga 24h TV – Catalá espera poder reformar en primavera el sistema de elección del CGPJ

El ministro de Justicia, Rafael Catalá, ha afirmado que espera que para la próxima primavera su departamento esté en condiciones de elaborar una reforma del sistema de elección de los vocales del Consejo General del Poder Judicial que refuerce la participación de los jueces en la misma.

En declaraciones a TVE, Rafael Catalá ha comentado que éste y otros asuntos los abordará este martes en una reunión que tendrá con el vicesecretario general de Ciudadanos, José Manuel Villegas.

No obstante Rafael Catalá discrepa de la percepción social de que la justicia está politizada y ha asegurado que los 5.500 jueces de España actúan con independencia. Ha explicado que quizá esa percepción se deba al sistema de elección de los vocales del Consejo General del Poder Judicial por los grupos parlamentarios, pero ha aclarado que este órgano no dicta sentencias, sino que se encarga de aspectos internos de la carrera judicial como los nombramientos y el ejercicio de la función disciplinaria.
