El aspirante a candidato a secretario general del PSOE Patxi López ha advertido de que si después del congreso de junio sale un PSOE dividido «da igual quién gane» y por ello ha señalado que su objetivo e incluso su obsesión» es unir al partido.
En declaraciones a los periodistas en Melilla, donde dio un mitin en la sede del PSOE ante decenas de militantes y simpatizantes para dar a conocer su proyecto, ha respondido al presidente de la Junta de Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara, tras acusar al aspirante a candidato Pedro Sánchez de «dividir» el partido, ha asegurado que en la dimisión de la última Ejecutiva tienen responsabilidades todos los dirigentes socialistas.El dirigente socialista ha pedido no hacer listados con los grados de culpabilidad por la actual situación que vive el PSOE, queriendo cobrar «las facturas o revanchas» del pasado, y ha reclamado buscar la fórmula para que nunca más vuelva a suceder.
